Come on out to Victoria Park in Truro Sunday August 24, 2008 11am – 3pm for our own version of the Incredible Picnic. We'll have lots to do and eat: a 4H petting zoo, face painting, and old=fashion picnic games. Bring your own local eats or choose from a great selection of quality local food, gourmet burgers, grilled sausages, corn on the cob, baked goods, and more. Check out the displays about local food, recipes, even about the role honey bees play in the food we eat. Bring your picnic blanket or lawn chairs, kick off your shoes, say hi to folks, and stay awhile to enjoy great live music from our friends Rosemary and Craig, followed by the smooth sounds of Jeff Benetti.

The Blues doesn’t get any better than this! Garrett Mason is a superlative performer, born to the blues, whose star continues to rise. His debut CD, “I’m Just A Man”, won a Juno; watch for his second release in 2008. Opening is Morgan Davis, a spectacular seasoned pro. He hails from Detroit, plays solo and with the greats, and is now “At Home in Nova Scotia”. The stinging guitar work and mighty vocals of these men pack enough power to shift the universe.
